At St Gabriel’s, we have a vibrant Staff Catholic Mission and Worship Team, who are involved in a wide range and varied part of school life. This varies from being a welcoming presence around the building, encouraging people to witness to their faith through their words and actions, meeting with students as a listening ear, scaffolding opportunities for formal and informal worship and making the word of God relevant to pupils and staff in their daily lives.
The Staff Catholic Mission and Worship Team is also extremely fortunate to receive the support and guidance of our local priests.
All staff have completed session 2 of our ‘Catholic Education and Formation’ programme entitled ‘The Greatest Commandment’. Thank you to Kath Ansley for guiding us on Catholic Social Teaching and Fr Paul Cannon for supporting our understanding of Mass.
The Catholic life of our school is at the heart of everything we do. All students are warmly welcomed and encouraged to participate fully, regardless of their personal beliefs, as we strive to live out Christian values and be the best versions of ourselves.
We aim to provide all members of our school community with opportunities to express and reflect on their faith, bringing Christ into their daily lives. This is achieved through active participation in events and practices aligned with the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church.
