Year 7 Welcome Mass
At the beginning of each academic year, we hold a special welcome Mass for Year 7. This is an opportunity for parents and students to be officially welcomed into St Gabriel’s community, alongside their form teachers. This year, the Year 7’s created an offertory gift for the Year 7 Welcome Mass, made up of images of angels. This has now formed part of our display in the school Chapel.
Year 11 Leavers Mass
Each summer, we hold a Year 11 leavers Mass, where we remember all the great moments from the 5 years the students have spent at St Gabriel’s and remind them that they will always be part of the St Gabriel’s community.
House Saint Masses
This year we have started having special House Saint Masses, in memory of the Saints that each form has been named after.

Lunchtime Mass
Each term we celebrate Mass at lunchtime with one of our local Parish priests. This Mass is voluntary and always well received.
Mass at St Marie’s with the Gift Team
We work closely with our Parish Priests and Sr Linda to support the Year 8 Confirmation Programme. All enquiries and requests for information should be made to both the school and to the local Parish Priest.

Students received the Sacrament of Reconciliation this Lent, with the help of three local Parish priests.
Special Times of the Year
Staff Advent Reflection led by the Student Senior Leadership Team.
Students from the Student Senior Leadership team led the Staff Advent Reflection.
Ash Wednesday Service
Mrs Forkin and the Gift Team held a Ash Wednesday Service in the St Teresa of Calcutta Chapel. This was held at lunchtime and was very popular. Ashes were distributed at the service by Eucharist Ministers from St Gabriel’s staff.
Stations of the Cross
Mrs Evers led the Lenten Stations of the Cross devotions, where staff and student took turns reading out their Stations of the Cross Reflections.
